Here is the story of the Brazilian writer Moacyr Scliar, who is sore about the way Yann Martel is getting all the prestige Life of Pi. Martel was significantly inspired by Scliar's "idea" -- sharing a lifeboat with a wild cat, after a shipreck -- as published in Max and the Cats.

Translating the words of Nazis
|
This article (from the Daily Hampshire Gazette) is about Henry Lea, the translator for the Nuremberg Trials. By the way, it mentions that
Lea will travel to Frankfurt, Germany on Nov. 13 to deliver a talk at the University of Frankfurt's symposium on German writers who have written about Nazi trials. He will discuss the work of Wolfgang Hildesheimer, a famous German novelist who was one of Lea's fellow translators at the trial.
